Michael Uganecz Photographer

Michael Uganecz Photographer Fine Art print sales and commercial photography. Specializing in making images of your environment Part artist, part geek!

I am passionate about my landscapes, if I didn't have a camera, I'd still be sitting and staring at them. I love nothing more that to be out in the world discovering natural beauty, it's what makes me tick. I get the biggest kick from seeing things I have never seen before. But the art and science of making a good photograph is also a passion of mine. I'm constantly striving to learn, to come up w

ith a better composition and to be as technically proficient with my gear as possible. I use my passion for the art and science of photography and my passion for landscapes to create unique images for my clients. Whether it is for corporate brochures, advertising in print or electronic medium or large scale prints for use on premises, I create unique images for my clients.

My thoughts are definitely with those effected by the devastating earthquakes in and around Kaikoura, New Zealand this week. Just as Christchurch seems to be getting back on track and we all think we know how to deal with earthquakes here, we get slammed with another big one. This photo was taken back in 2011 on a trip up the east coast of the South Island. This is just south of Kaikoura. This section of the highway is now covered in rubble and will never look like this again. Parts of the sea floor here was thrust upwards 3 metres and is now out of the water!
