Congratulations to David Irving, one of The Icehouse's founders, who was inducted into the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame last night at the Cordis in Auckland.

The Icehouse exists because David and a handful of others believed New Zealand business owners deserved a place to learn, be challenged, and grow alongside people facing the same things they were. Everything we have done since has been built on that.

Pictured is David with Chris Quin, our former Chairman, and Olivia Blaylock, our CEO.

David's acceptance speech was something else, and we will share it here as soon as the video is available. Set aside the time for it when it lands, it is well worth the watch.

Two alumni events, same night, one in each island.

East Tāmaki with Hyspecs (NZ), and Nelson with Scott Construction New Zealand, who also brought in Kernohan Engineering.

Strong turnout in both rooms. Hydraulics, construction, marine engineering, all very different businesses, all working through problems the rest of the room recognised straight away.

We're on the hunt for a Learning Coordinator to sit at the heart of everything we deliver. You'll keep our programmes running smoothly: owning schedules, bookings and logistics, supporting facilitators, and making sure every SME leader has a seamless experience from start to finish.

As a nationwide business training and development company, we back ambitious Kiwi businesses to learn from the best, and from each other. This role is right in the thick of that mahi, in a small, fast-moving team where no two days look the same.

You might be a good fit if you're highly organised, confident juggling multiple priorities, experienced in a coordinator, admin, events or learning role, and someone who genuinely enjoys creating great experiences for people.

It's a 6-month fixed term (with a real chance of going permanent), based in Parnell with one day a week from home and subsidised parking. Applications are being reviewed as they come in, so don't sit on it.

Congratulations to the graduates of our Leadership Development Programme Cohort 67!

We were thrilled to run this cohort in the South Island, bringing the group together in Christchurch. It is a region full of ambitious leaders and businesses, and this group proved exactly that.

Over the programme these leaders pushed themselves, backed each other, and got stuck into the real work of leading people well. The growth across the cohort has been genuinely impressive to watch.

To everyone in LDP67: you have earned this moment. Take what you have learned back to your teams and keep building on it. This is the start, not the finish line.
