Lifeguard Tower Woodend Beach Canterbury - "The Chair"

"The Chair" has been nominated for the 2011 New Zealand Architecture Awards to be announced 25th May 2012. It will be interesting to see if this entry for "Small Project Architecture" wins this particular award. I really like the relevance of the theme and the simplicity and quirkiness of the design. The result is a real talking point and therefore a recognisable feature to the Woodend Beach. It's great when art and practicality can work so well together. What do you think?
