GENERAL MANAGER OPERATIONS - AUCKLAND
Come and join one of Auckland's iconic tourism businesses who have been providing amazing marine based experiences for 25 years.

This senior leadership role is based in Auckland overseeing the day to day running of Explore Group’s suite of marine based cruises and tours.
Explore offers a range of marine based excursions in Auckland, the Bay of Islands, and the Whitsundays, starting with one America’s Cup yacht in Auckland New Zealand in 1999, and have expanded to be a multi-region and multi-product operation.

The key objective of the role is to manage the daily operations of our tourism products and services in Auckland with 3 direct reports and a team of up to 45 over the summer.
Proven experience in management across operations, staff management, HR, recruitment and administration are required.
The successful candidate will have exceptional verbal and written communication, an ability to motivate and lead teams, and be able to manage simultaneously multiple products and projects. Whilst finance, sales and marketing is handed centrally, strong understanding and knowledge of these disciplines is also required. Experience in the marine tourism sector would be an advantage but not a requirement.
We are seeking people who already have the right to work full time in New Zealand.

"The Interview" is a new partnership with Tourism Ticker, a monthly video series featuring tourism industry leaders doing amazing things in talent retention, attraction, recruitment, and employer branding.
