Moving on to the Mitsubishi fu***ng Canter and the failed brake fluid proportioning valve, which is why I've never seemed to get the brakes exactly how I want them, or if I do, then not for very long...and I can't believe that I know this BECAUSE of the Safari and its rear axle valve to compensate for heavy loads requiring greater braking pressure to the rear rotors. Now that may seem obvious to the likes of Mr. Papps, but I hadn't considered because id always assumed that the problem was whatever I thiught it was at the time...but whenever I addressed that whateveritwas I always noticed a difference. And I also have to say...whenever I checked it, or discovered it in my Safari epiphany, it had been f**ked for a long long time, weeping only (I only cry on the inside) and then settling down for a certain period...no patterns of course, just being an arse hole, until I put my finger on the rubber boot, dislodging a soggy piece of s**t and dust and it sprayed out at me missing my face (wouldn't want to spoil my rugged good looks) and hitting the sub frame next to my head. On the flip side, spilled or spitefully exploded brake fluid CAN be useful for painting swear words on people's cars...I wouldnt do such a thing, but
I HAVE seen it on other peoples cars, not my OWN..and I must stress that sort of behaviour is childish and cannot be condoned). I tortured my friend Graeme who kindly gave up some of his free time, quite a lot actually, to show me how to open the cylinder and withdraw the piston therefore being able to check and/or replace the inner seals...however not through any available repaie kits cos of course, now it's too fu***ng old to bother repairing...you have to mix and match across a broad, general seal etc availability using callipers and the old eye-ometer...this first picture is the old unit the new unit I found to replace it actually seized solid on its second use preventing ANY fluid from reaching or what WAS remaining in each calliper slave cylinder to be outside of the braking system and therefore having or delivering NO hydraulic power.. No brakes to the rear..you can see the internal parts on the second/third photos..
I'm exposing my internals here, through Facebook fu***ng therapy...
