It's crazy to consider Mother Teresa's impact continues to ripple across the planet today. This statement demonstrates the humility of the woman she was. Humility is a beautiful trait, it endears us towards the bearer. Humility makes room for others, celebrates others, shares achievement with others. Humility leans in, listens deeply. Humility is curious and ask questions. Humility is slow to speak, and uses words wisely. Humility is wonderful trait in leaders. Leaders with Humility are well loved and trusted, they transform employees to loyal team members and faithful followers. Oh and a common misconception, Humility is not thinking less of yourself. 😜

Work from Home Day, Oh wait! That's everyday for me! Heading to the beach to walk the dog and then back to the mahi (Māori word for work). Love my workspace, sun beams into my office, in between the autumn showers. Lots of exciting things in the pipeline. Love this quote, " In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or step back into safety." (Abraham Maslow)

I think we are all aware of the value of emotional intelligence in the workplace. EQ builds team, IQ has the potential to polarise them. EQ grows people, IQ can have a tendency to intimidate and limit others. EQ develops employees, employees meet KPI's, KPI's grow business. I'd choose IQ over EQ any day.

I have known this to be so true, when you are doing something you truly love doing it's not work, it comes from a place of passion and inspiration. When we are inspired, we are energised and motivated and we produce our best work. Our most inspired, creative, work comes from an effortless ease. Finding what it is you love and following your heart will lead you to producing your greatest 'work'.

We got away to the wild West Coast of the South Island and made a pitstop at this beauty. Find what replenishes your soul and chase after it. Being out in nature does that for me, I was craving being in a bush, the oxygen hits different, the air is cooler. The silence, the sound of nature. I was also feeling quite determined for a quick dip at the bottom of this stunner. So reinvigorating! What does it for you? Chase after it! Life it made up of moments, many of those are repetitive, mundane but essential. Creating moments in the mundane brings strength, energy and joy. What moments are you going to chase this week?

Any perfectionists out there? I can't say I would describe myself as a perfectionist, but I have at times felt the inaction or lack of progression in an area of my life or project due to it be 'right'. When I am feeling stuck in inaction, I give myself permission to accept 80% as being acceptable. This helps my momentum, creativity and mindset. I can always come back later to tidy up the last 20% if needed. The point is try not get stuck in perfection. Progress over Perfection keeps you moving and growing.

Life takes us to different places, wearing different hats, playing various roles, and mingling with a wide range of people. So how do we show up? I've learned being the most authentic version of yourself works best! Sure, it's tempting to adjust here and there to fit in, but that just ends up requiring too much effort. Ultimately, you shine brightest when you're true to who you are, attracting people and opportunities that vibe with your authenticity. Sometimes, we outgrow certain spaces, roles, or people, and that's perfectly fine! The key is recognizing when it's time to move on and finding spaces and people where you can truly be yourself.

Let's be honest—some seasons we are more excited to welcome in than others. But understanding the unique purpose of each season can help us appreciate them.

Just like nature's winter is a time for rest and renewal, our own 'winter' moments can be a time of replenishing. Recognizing this has shifted how I approach life's ups and downs. Just as the earth needs time to rest and replenish, so do we. Whether you're entering a season of falling leaves or enjoying the vibrant colors of spring, remember, there's a purpose in every season. Embrace where you are and let it nourish you.

Often our challenges tend to frustrate us, which can lead to giving up. Allowing a slight mindset shift to see our challenges as the opportunity to learn or grow can make all the difference to not only the outcome, but also to our emotional state. Growth comes from facing challenges and overcoming them. Challenges can push us out of our comfort zones, forcing us to learn and adapt. Embracing challenges can lead to personal and professional development, ultimately contributing to our growth.

Sometimes our goals can seem unreachable or the path ahead unsurmountable, but a little bit done consistently over a long period of time creates extraordinary change. My daughter often reminds me, "One % better than yesterday Mum". Instead of always focusing on the end goal, take a moment each day to focus on the small change and after a period of time look back and see how far you have come.
