10x10 architecture Design orientated architectural studio based in Auckland, specialising in residential, commercial and interior design. 10 x 10 Architecture is about Balance.

Balance in the expectation and reality. Lead by Arron Kong, a Registered Architect in Australia and New Zealand, who gained his qualification by completing a Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Auckland with Honours. His passion enabled him

to receive two notable design awards;

- New Zealand Institute of Architect's (NZIA) Best Overall Design Award;
- The Veron Brown Memorial Award. Furthermore his graduation project was shortlisted for Royal Institute of British Architect's (RIBA) Presidents' Medals Student Award. Arron was trained in a global firm HoK in London. Further trained and gained his registration while working for award winning practice Domoney Architecture in Melbourne. After eight years of international experience, in 2015, Arron decided it was time to share his philosophy of Balanced Architecture by starting a practice called 10x10 Architecture in his home town Auckland. A boutique design studio specialising in residential, commercial and interior; Providing a wide range of services covering all stages of the project, including feasibility / visualisation study, consent applications, project management. Arron and his talented team are passionate for producing quality architecture with a strong design focus. They recognise that all projects are unique in their own way and two projects are never the same, or, no job is too small or too challenging to complete, in a harmonised balanced way.

A tightly constrained 2-lot subdivision in Remuera — steep at the rear, rich with opportunity.

By carving into the natural slope, we unlocked elegant three-level homes that capture elevated views and maximise every layer of the site.

At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac, this compact urban site steps up to the challenge.

Three single garages and 3.5 bedrooms are arranged around open living spaces that spill toward the reserve.

Slanted blade walls act as sculptural screens and frame views to the reserve, shifting level with the contours.

Wrapped in classic brick and weatherboard, the home stays grounded, durable, and timeless, a modern little sanctuary that never feels squeezed.

Scaffolding is off and the big reveal is here!
This tricky Auckland urban site is now home to 4 smartly designed, 3L houses that make the most of the height and views under the Mixed Housing Suburban rules. Each comes with a double garage, 4 beddies, and crisp, low-maintenance finishes that really pop.
Looking forward to seeing interiors and landscaping bring the whole project to life.
