📢📢📢New Visa Application Centre opens in Tonga on 14 September.

Great news for people applying for visas from Tonga! 🇹🇴
📅 On Monday 14 September, a Visa Application Centre (VAC) will be opening in Tonga.
📝 The VAC will provide a service for people to submit visa applications from Monday to Friday, between 9 am and 4 pm.

You application has been approved and you have been granted a Permanent Resident Visa that it is valid indefinitely. This allows you both to travel in and out of New Zealand any number of times and return to New Zealand as a Resident.

In 2024 we were approached by Matekitonga’s mother in law Mrs Mele Fehoko Molia to assist with his son in-laws immigration matters. Mr Ma’u was residing in Tonga with his NZ Citizen wife and their adopted son.

It has been over two years since we submitted Matekitonga’s application. We are delighted to finally receive an outcome of his application today.

🔥🔥Associate Minister of Immigration granted a Resident Visa. Kaniseli e ‘ova pea foki e Nofo Fonua he Associate Minister of Immigration 🔥🔥

We’re delighted to receive the outcome of an Appeal we submitted on behalf of our client Miss U in February 2026.

Miss U is a Tongan National. Miss U arrived here with her parents and five siblings on a Visitor Visa in 2023. Prior to arriving in New Zealand her family was successful in the Pacific Access Category Ballot. Unfortunately her parents was advised by an unlicensed person in Tonga to exclude her from the PAC Registration.

Miss U’s parents and her younger siblings were later granted residence in August 2023.

Miss U’s Visitor Visa soon expired and she continued to remain here with her family. In 2025 a relative submitted three section 61 requests on Miss U’s behalf and unfortunately they were all refused.

Miss U approached us in early 2026 to assist her with her immigration matters. After reviewing her OIA file we decided to appeal for ministerial intervention.
