I left our Inailau Coffee Connect last Friday with such a full heart. 🌺☕️

We started the afternoon talking about business - where everyone is at, what challenges we’re facing, what support we need and what we’re working towards.

But as it often does with Inailau, the conversation went deeper.

We ended up talking about faith, God and how much our faith carries us through the different seasons of business and life. 🙏🏽

One of the moments that really made me smile was hearing from one of our returning ladies.

At our last Coffee Connect, she shared her vision of starting her own BBQ takeaway business.

This time, she came back and told us she’d done it - her business is officially up and running! 🙌🏽🌺

Since our last gathering, she’s received support from The Pacific Business Hub to work through the practical steps of getting started. Then around the table on Friday, another woman was able to share a potential funding pathway that could help her take the next step.

This is exactly why I created Inailau.

Sometimes you don’t need to have all the answers.
Sometimes you simply need to get around the right table, share where you’re at, and someone in that room may have a connection, some knowledge, an opportunity or even just the encouragement you need to keep going.

We also welcomed some beautiful first-time attendees, alongside women returning to share updates about their businesses, what they’re working towards and where they need support.

And one theme kept coming back around the table - faith. ❤️

The women spoke openly about how their faith in God has helped them navigate uncertainty, challenges, business and life.

We were also blessed to hear the story behind The Pacific Business Hub - how it began in 2019 with limited resources and has grown into something that now provides practical support to Pacific business owners.

And of course, the scripture that came up felt so fitting:
🙏🏽 Jeremiah 29:11 — “For I know the plans I have for you…”

That really stayed with me.

As business women, we can become so focused on the day-to-day — finances, clients, operations, deadlines, family and everything else we carry.

Sometimes faith is what reminds us that we don’t have to see the whole path before we take the next step.

We can make our plans, do the work and keep moving - but there are also seasons where we have to trust God with what we cannot yet see.

Friday was another beautiful reminder to me that community matters.

Some mornings look like this 🍽️💻

Breakfast at Rove Hotel. Then the work.

Because building something this big, across oceans, across cultures 🌊 takes more than hustle. It takes fuel. It takes rest. It takes honouring your body while you're honouring your purpose.

This is what a working day in Dubai actually looks like for me. A good breakfast to keep me grounded, then straight into laptop mode, connecting with partners, planning the next immersion trip, and building pathways for our Pacific and Māori wāhine to walk through. 🌺

Alofa isn't just how I greet people. It's how I move through my work too.
With care.
With intention.
With gratitude for every seat at every table that got me here. 🤍

Some rooms in Dubai you don't walk into as a tourist. 🌍

I walked into this one as a Pacific Business Woman laying foundations.

My Dubai business bestie, Maria Gracia Ramos Caguete, Founder of Futurezone invited me to a Business Clinic at Meydan Free Zone And I left with news that changes things for our people. 🙌

I spoke directly with the Emirates NBD Bank team. Through their partnership with Meydan, a business bank account can be opened online, when you set up a Business license in UAE, without the business partners needing to travel to Dubai or go through the visa process first.

When I set up here, I had to fly over and complete my visa before I could even open an account. This is a game changer.

Why Meydan? I chose it for my own business for a reason.
