Ken Tran, a consultant at Stellar Consulting Group - Data Analytics, is currently working on a data separation project for a utility client. The project involves masking and archiving sensitive data. Planning and data classification quickly becomes a challenge for a big utility company with terabytes of data and various source systems. On top of that, a tight timeline and restricted resources can also cause difficulty.

With such challenges, collaboration and proactiveness are the keys. The team has been working closely with the vendors to understand the separation rules and ensure the goals are achieved on time.

One of the main challenges for a utility company in such a competitive market is maintaining its customer churn rate as low as possible. This usually requires a great effort from many teams with a sound strategy. At one of our customers, the marketing and BI team worked on a marketing project that serves that exact purpose.

Formatively, Stellar Consulting Group - Data Analytics had laid a robust foundation for the BI system that could be easily scaled out to integrate other subject areas. The Stellar team have now leveraged such scalability to additional source data from the marketing team. It is a cloud-based dataset to carry out daily promotion communication with prospects and existing customers.

Andrew King, a Business Intelligence Consultant at Stellar has recently worked on Power BI reporting for Toyota New and Used Vehicles, specifically providing a view of Dealer Key Performance Indicators. The reports will allow Dealers and business support users access to sales and customer service metrics. It will display KPI progress monthly and quarterly.
