I am looking for someone local to the Silverdale/Orewa area to help with my surface repair and renovation business.
The work is varied and hands-on, ranging from power washing outdoor furniture and decks to sanding and recoating timber furniture. If you have an artistic side, I can also teach you hard wax filling and color touch-up work, which is in strong demand.
This will be casual work to start, likely a couple of days a week, but the business is growing quickly, and there is clear potential for more hours and long-term work.
No specific prior skills are required, but the job would suit someone practical, good with their hands, and detail-oriented. The work can be physical, but it is rewarding, with most jobs finished in one to two days. I will provide training and work alongside you until you feel confident working independently.
Requirements:
- Mature, reliable and self motivated
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and work hard
- Flexible availability
- Own transport (initially, the ability to get to our workshop in Red Beach is sufficient)
Starting pay is $40/hour, with opportunities to increase as you gain experience and take on more responsibility. This is not just a summer job, but a chance to build valuable skills with a growing business.
