Glasshape is a specialist manufacturing business based in Warkworth and we are looking for an engaged curious individual to join our friendly team.

We are expanding and are looking for our next valued member of staff. You will be trained on state of the art machinery producing a specialist product. A global leader providing goods, we are known for our quality products and service.

You will be fully trained on all our machinery and will become a subject matter expert once trained. Glasshape is a business that has grown over the last 40 years and we have a strong presence in North America and Australia and are continuing to expand. As a values based company we care about our team and as a result produce an excellent quality product. If you enjoy making things then this could be the role for you.

About you -
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team
• Ideally suited to someone who enjoys being active and wants a career
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg as the machines are manually loaded
• Computer literate, experience on a CNC machine would be beneficial but not essential
• Takes pride in your work and has a good eye for detail
• Happy to work 45 hours minimum per week
• Curious by nature and enjoys learning a craft
• Reliable and hard working

The NBA EXPERIENCE is a new attraction at Disney Springs, that opened in August of 2019 in Orlando, Florida. Adults and kids alike can live out their basketball dreams with the hardcourt, visit a replica of a locker room and learn about the history of basketball. Enter an immersive world where all of your basketball dreams are just a layup away.
Once again, Glasshape were honored to team up with VIVA Railings on this exciting project, which included twin Circular Staircases, that are topped off by hoop-like Bent Glass Railing, providing a 360 degree, stadium view of the center court access point to the numerous interactive NBA themed activities in this Disney attraction. The Bent Glass was glazed into VIVA Railings propriety SHOE™ Aluminum Glass Railing System by Altamonte Glass & Mirror. The combined experience and quality of product and service ensured this project was a slam dunk!

The Hilton brand is iconic in the hotel industry and can claim a number of firsts. This hotel is the first Doubletree Hotel in Perth as well as the first new Doubletree in Australia. The hotel is located in the heart of the vibrant precinct of Northbridge, at its heart it features a polished stainless-steel clad stringer and incorporates bent glass panels by Glasshape® to create a highlight in one of Perth’s newest hotels. It also again highlights what can be achieved by using glass, namely space and light something at the heart of any vibrant building as well as showcasing what can be achieved when using bent glass as opposed to straight or faceted glass.

Glasshape® was asked to fabricate the bent glass panels by Aristo Balustrades in Perth who provided us with CAD files allowing us to fabricate each panel to a high degree of precision. Our ability to work with customer provided data as well as seamlessly convert this data into a finished product was one of the reasons Aristo chose to work with us.

Having been involved in two previous store refurbishments in Melbourne and Auckland, Glasshape® was well-acquainted with the quality, craftsmanship and style desired by Tiffany & Co. Glasshape® was honoured to digitally measure, manufacture and supply to Stainform Pty Ltd the main stairs bent & flat balustrade requirements. At 22mm (7/8") thick low-iron, toughened, laminated product with radius’s as tight as 157mm (6 1/8"), the results are stunning!

Emporium Hotel - South Bank, Australia.
This monumental staircase took on a live of its own with the help of Glasshape® who were contracted to site measure the areas requiring bent tempered glass in the foyer area and then produce all the flat and bent glass required for this one of a kind creation.
