In commemoration of ANZAC Day and remembrance of the sacrifices made by our fallen countrymen, we're honoured to offer a contribution to the memory of these heroes in the form of this historical fiction.

Published just a month ago, Christopher Worth's debut novel offers a gripping and sobering account of the realities of war. While Gallipoli tends to take the spotlight on ANZAC Day, the lesser-known New Zealand campaign through Greece in 1941 also played a part in this country's fight against the German paratroopers and terrifying Luftwaffe, from the slopes of Mt Olympus to the shores of Monemvasia.

This extensively researched story follows fictional character Neil Rankin through the true events of WWII. While not for the faint of heart, this novel carries a graphic history lesson you won't soon forget, with all the tragedy, humour, conquest and loss of these unforgiving times. Go back in time and understand what it meant to fight for a homeland you might never see again.

So if you are a history buff, a fan of WWII novels, or simply looking for a gripping page-turner, then I'd recommend you a copy this Anzac Day. You'll find more details on the website about the book and the context of NZ in WWII:

The Rabbit Hunter by Christopher Worth is an enthralling ANZAC WW2 story that transports the reader to the front lines, fighting the Luftwaffe and German infantry.
