Te Katonga Nui

Another site visit to Te Katonga Nui, and this time we got to have a kōrero with Awanuiarangi Wano, another kaimahi of Wano Building.
He spoke to us about what it is like making homes for whānau of his uri and what his hopes are for Te Katonga Nui, for uri and for the community in the future.
“We want them to be able to step in and see it as a kāinga rather than a place with four walls.”
Te Katonga Nui is about more than building houses. It's about creating a place of belonging, connection, and a foundation for future generations.
