This is a bit of relief. Not sure how yet, but we still have a green light.

So we had another big win last night at the Royal Easter wine awards in Auckland. Best pinot noir! This one is with Valli 2018 from Chinamans Terrace. Very stoked. In the photo with me are 2 of the winemakers, Jen and Karl from Valli. 👊👊🍾

It's a smoky old day at zebra vineyards.

So this happened last night at the NZ Wine Awards.
We won
- best pinot noir in NZ
- best wine out of central otago
- best single vineyard red wine in NZ
We missed out on the overall but pretty stoked with this.
Big thanks to Lyndsey, Jarek and Ladka, Trav, the missus {Bron, who I love so much} and to everyone who has worked at zebra vineyards over the years. This particular wine is from the 2018 harvest. Thornbury 2018, which is a Villa Maria label.
It was a record breaking year in so many ways, but to get this recognition, at this show, from my peers is just mind blowing.
In the photo with me is Si Fell, winemaker from Villa who made this wine, a top bloke.
