πŸ“¦πŸ“¦
You have spent days packing, weeks prepping and the overwhelm is starting to feel real.
Often when I arrive at a house unpack, the stress of the load and unload has kicked in and I love that I get to take over key areas has my clients knows they are mentally ticked off there list.

Storage was ample in this new kitchen for my clients, I measured and relied the draws and added some storage solutions for the utensils, planned where everything will go in accordance to how to best use this new kitchen and began the unpack.

Leaving my clients at the end of day 1 of there move with an unpacked kitchen, beds made and large furnishings set up!

3 x large Cosy Home boxes out the door today to provide comfort for families in need.
All items come from clean and healthy homes. Today's boxes include over 5 blankets (including a wool duvet inner) bedding, toys, bikes, kitchenware and loads more.

Enjoy your weekend everyone, and if you have time have a think about those items sitting in your home un-used and the potential they have to help another. https://www.thetidyhomenz.com/the-cosy-home

You will typically find me at the un-packing end of a big move but on occasion I switch into pack mode!

This week we packed a full holiday home for some special clients I have worked with for the past 4 years.
Sad to see them go 😒 but happy they will know where everything is when they unpack there next home out of town.

As we do best at the tidy home, their are solid systems in place making sure everything was categorized, packed to perfection, each box was labeled and detailed with inventory then colour coded just for that extra help for sighting where boxes go at the other end.
Also all expired food and unnecessary clutter was removed before the pack and all manuals and warranties were stored safely in a folder.

We originally organised this home 2 years ago...
we do a full refresh of this property every 3 months as part of our house manager package which was where we were based on friday.
This service includes a full clear out and re-tidy of the kitchen, pantry, linen cupboard, utility cupboard, 2 x bedrooms + wardrobes and the bathroom! Phew πŸ˜…

We walked away with a large rubbish bag of expired food and general rubbish, 2 rubbish bags of clothing and 1 bag of toys to donate + a small pile up of suggested items to sell aswell and moving out some old toy storage the child had outgrown.

This client has health issues that prevent her from running her home as she would if she was able, so it is an absolute pleasure to be trusted with her home and their belongings and help her keep on top of her home regularly!

If you know someone who may need help in their home, especially if their health issues hinder them from doing so, or if this is you, feel free to reach out for a service or pass on my details. πŸ’•

Yes, it's true, you can more often than not close the door on your skullery to hide the mess BUT this doesn't change the fact that this area of your kitchen MUST have systems and function well!

This makeover was no short of satisfying. Instantly calming, everything has a home, regularly used items at easy reach and it's looks so darn pretty.

It's a simple one to fix and by far the most common of chaotic draws I see in kitchens.
The utensil drawer!!
I challenge you to fix it!
Its as simple as this....
πŸ₯„ Pull everything out
πŸ₯„ Edit out all double ups and items you no longer use
πŸ₯„ Clean out drawer and line it
πŸ₯„ Add the utensil organiser (there are so many amazing options out there. DM for my recommendations)
πŸ₯„ Catergorise and then neatly place them in utensil organiser in there categories
πŸ₯„ Consider two draws, one for cooking utensil and one for baking.
🍽️ Tip - Make sure yourutensil drawer is handy to your cook top or cooking area for effeciancy in your kitchen and if your still short on room add a ceramic jar for regularly used utensils next to stove.

Ever feel like opening your pantry is a game of dodgeball? 😩 One thing comes out… and five more tumble after it! If you're constantly battling overflowing shelves, expired food, and never being able to find what you need, it's time for a pantry reset.
Imagine opening the door to a space where everything has a home, nothing falls out and makes you want to scream, and meal prep feels effortless. ✨

My top pantry decluttering and organising tips:

βœ”οΈ Take everything out and group similar items together. βœ”οΈ Check expiry dates and get rid of anything you won't use.
βœ”οΈ Decant everyday staples into clear containers to keep them fresh and easy to see.
βœ”οΈ Create clear zones (baking, snacks, breakfast, pasta, canned goods, lunchbox items, etc.).
βœ”οΈ Use baskets and turntables to keep smaller items contained and easy to access.
βœ”οΈ Place everyday items at eye level and store less-used items higher up.
βœ”οΈ Label everything so the whole family knows where things belong.
βœ”οΈ Leave a little empty spaceβ€”an overpacked pantry is much harder to maintain.

Would opening your pantry if it looked like this one make you smile… or make you want to close the door again? πŸ‘€
