Our Cabernet Franc 2023, Metro Top 50 winner, from The Corner’s Vineyard in Marlborough. Elegance in a bottle.

Here’s a bit about the process:
The fruit was carefully hand-picked, sorted, destemmed, and then fermented in small, open top oak puncheons with indigenous yeast.
Daily pigéage was done by hand and after 3 weeks on skins the w**e was gently pressed, settled, and aged in seasoned oak.
A natural spring malolactic fermentation occurred and after 14 months of élevage the w**e was racked, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Here’s a bit about the process:
The grapes were hand harvested, carefully sorted and destemmed into large format French Oak cuves for fermentation.
A daily interaction of gentle pigéage, or pump overs, for careful extraction and development of the tannin.
After 4 weeks, the w**e was drained, gently pressed, and racked into select French Oak puncheons (25% new). After 14 months élevage, the w**e was carefully racked, and bottled unfined, and unfiltered.

Celebrating massive wins for certified organic w**es! We are so thrilled to have no less than FOUR of our w**es selected for the Metro W**e Awards. This number is rivalled only by one other w**ery, and we’re the only certified organic one to achieve 4 spots.
