If you've never been to a wellbeing session with Sir John Kirwan, I highly recommend that you do. You'll laugh a lot, learn a lot, and leave inspired. If you're around my age, you'll probably remember JK as the rugby legend who played for the All Blacks, and later for the incredible contribution he has made to mental health awareness in New Zealand. I remember reading his book "All Blacks Don't Cry" when I was in my 30s and feeling inspired even then. But after meeting him and hearing him speak yesterday, I can honestly say he's even more inspiring in person. JK spoke openly about his own mental health journey and the steps that helped him understand, accept, and support his wellbeing. He's more than a legend in my eyes - he's a genuine inspiration! A big thank you to Marlborough Wine and everyone involved in putting on this fantastic free event. Check out JK's Foundation for resources: https://jkfoundation.org.nz/helpful-resources/. Happy and safe King's Birthday weekend everyone.
There are a number of great New Zealand and International websites that provide helpful resources and support to manage your own mental health and wellbeing, and that of others.
