Chicago, we're on our way. Lloyd Parks and Blair Kibblewhite will be at PACK EXPO International at McCormick Place, Chicago, from 18 to 21 October.

You'll find us at booth LL-9620. If freeze drying is on your roadmap, come and talk it through with us.

Scaling up from pilot batches, choosing the right size dryer, or running a trial on your own product at our US testing facility before you commit. Cuddon has been building commercial freeze dryers in New Zealand since 1963, and four days in Chicago is a good chance to talk shop in person.

Send us a message to lock in a time with Lloyd and Blair, or just drop by the booth.

Freeze Dried Summit - Boise, Idaho. 20 to 23 September.

We are a Partner Sponsor of the Freeze Dried Summit 2026, and we will be there for all of it.

Lloyd Parks is speaking on the kill step. What validation actually involves, where people get caught out, and why it matters the moment you start scaling a freeze dried product toward retail.

Lloyd and Linc Burgess are at the summit for the full three days, not just the session. So there is real time to talk properly. Equipment, throughput, trial runs at our US testing facility, or simply where to start.

Heading to Boise? Book a time with us before the diaries fill up.

Looking forward to meeting the people building this industry.

Anagenix in Auckland, New Zealand has been freeze drying since the 1970s, on systems installed before most of today's ingredient market existed. Those dryers are still working.

This month a new Cuddon FD1800GPC joined them.

That is the part we like about this story. The first machines earned their keep for five decades, and when the time came to grow, Anagenix was not starting over. They were adding capacity to a process that already works, with gear built the same way.

Anagenix supplies kiwifruit ingredients to nutrition markets around the world, so every batch has to land the same as the last one. Consistency over that kind of timeframe is not an accident. It comes from equipment you can rely on and a team that knows it inside out.

Built to last. Built to grow.

Congratulations from the team at Cuddon Freeze Dry.

Ever wondered how big a commercial freeze dryer actually gets?

In part four of his series with Lloyd Parks from Cuddon Freeze Dry, David Leaman from Freeze Dried Business gets a look at our flagship 1800 unit, one of the largest freeze dryers we make.

Lloyd also breaks down something most people never think about, trays and racks, and why keeping a freeze dryer full matters just as much as the machine itself. A cycle that takes 18 hours takes 18 hours, every time, so there's no room to waste space.

30 days out from the Freeze Dried Summit, and we could not be more excited.

We have been deep in the details, fine-tuning everything to make sure this is a high-quality, educational, and genuinely fun event for everyone in the freeze-drying industry.

A huge thank you to our partner sponsors, TechSource Systems, CryoDry, and Cuddon Freeze Dry for going all in with us this year. Your support is a huge part of what makes this event possible.

And a big thank you to the rest of our sponsors and exhibitors making this year's Summit happen: Glacial Freeze Dry, KLC Financial, Crunch Co Freeze Dry, Blue Alpine Freeze Dryers, Oestergaard, AQUALAB (by Addium), Harvest Right, LLC, Peak and Prairie Industries D-Freeze, and AXIOM Industrial Solutions Inc.

Tickets are still available, but the window is closing. Registration closes September 7th, no exceptions.

The full schedule is live now at freezedriedsummit.com, so you can see exactly what three days in Boise looks like before you commit.

Investing in yourself and your business is not optional if you actually want to grow. You will be surprised by the kind of clarity and opportunities that come from three days in a room with people who are building at the same time you are.

30 days. Don't wait until it's gone. https://freezedriedsummit.com/register-2026

Should you build your own freeze drying facility, or let someone else do it for you?

That's one of the biggest decisions in this industry, and most people never really think it through.

In part three of his series with Lloyd Parks from Cuddon Freeze Dry, David Leaman turns to the service side of the industry. Lloyd has walked through a number of freeze drying facilities, and in this episode he breaks down toll processing, co-packing and co-manufacturing in plain language, why some facilities will freeze dry pretty much anything while others stick to one lane, what a certification like SQF actually unlocks for a business, and how many freeze dried brands quietly rely on someone else's machines instead of buying their own.

If you've ever wondered whether to own the equipment or borrow someone else's to scale, this one's for you.

In part two of his series with host David Leaman of Freeze Dried Business, our Lloyd Parks explains what it actually takes to validate a kill step in freeze drying. That is over 99.9999 percent of the bad stuff, gone.

Part three is coming soon. Watch part two now here -> https://youtu.be/70zjsiw6LEI?si=xlnocdo5QBzLAUBb

Most people in the freeze drying industry believe the process doesn't really kill harmful bacteria. Our Lloyd Parks spent four years finding out if that is true.

This is part one of a three part series with host David Leaman of Freeze Dried Business s, filmed at Boreas Freeze Dry in Missouri, a Cuddon client. Part two gets into the results.
