Katikati Taiao – (EnviroKatikati Charitable Trust)
About the role:
Reporting to a board of Trustees this is a general management position that needs an experienced people leader who can operate creatively within the resource constraints of a non-profit organisation. You will be working with a highly engaged Board and will need to be comfortable as an ambassador for the organisation.
Katikati Taiao was successful in securing a 6-year CLD Partnership with the DIA, which is due to complete in September 2024. We are working with the community to gather local ideas and aspirations for our community and to support the community to shape these into actions. We are all involved in community-focused work or activities in some capacity.

Key Tasks:
• fulfil a general management role, providing leadership, direction and management of the team
• provide strategic recommendations and leadership to the Board
• oversee the CLD programme development
• financial; accounting, forecasting and reporting
• spokesperson and ambassador for Katikati Taiao
• maintain and seek funding opportunities

Skills and experience essential for the role are:
• Financial and contracts management
• Fundraising and writing funding applications/proposals and reports
• Human resources and staff development
• Compliance and accountability experience
• High level of literacy and report-writing skills
• Ability to promote the organisation in many arenas
• Experience in dealing with government and local funders is essential
• Experience in bookkeeping and specifically Xero

It will be an advantage if you have the following:

• Experience in non-profit organisation
• Experience in Community-led Development
• Experience in social enterprises
• Facilitation experience
• Existing knowledge and networks in the Katikati community
• A tertiary qualification

• Desire to excel
• Genuine caring for people
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Comfortable in an environment of frequent change
• Problem solver
• Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
This is a part-time role of between 25-30 hours and offers a competitive salary to the right person.
