Karaka Book 2 - value fillies

I'm a huge fan of the NZB Karaka Book Two Sale as I've had great success there buying quality fillies at affordable prices.
Here's three examples...
BEST SELLER (bottom right) cost $12,000 from the consignment of Highview Stud; she's won the Gold Trail Stakes-Gr.3 and ran second in the NZ 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 this season.
FASCINATION STREET (bottom left), a lovely mare in every respect cost $34,000 and the vendor was Lime Country Thoroughbreds. Group placed at two & three years, she went on to win the Listed Rotorua Stakes as an older mare.
QUINTESSENTIAL (top) came from Trelawney Stud at a price tag of $70,000. She won the Queensland Oaks-Gr.1, was second in the Queensland Derby & third in the NZ Oaks.

I knew this day was coming, but doesn't make it any easier - Sir Patrick Hogan has left us and the Australasian Breeding Industry will never be quite the same.
I could fill a book of my memories & cherished association with 'The Boss', but wanted in the short-term to share an item I produced with Patrick & his great stallion Zabeel - it first went to air 18 March 2006.
My thoughts are with Justine, Lady Hogan and his daughters Erin & Nicola at this difficult time.

BEST SELLER cruising in 1000m solo hit-out today.

The Gr.3-winning Wrote filly clocked 60.5 seconds for the 1000m, the last 600m in 34.5. Rider Jonathan Riddell described her work as "effortless".
Best Seller currently sits second on the NZB 3YO Filly of the Year table & is likely to be seen out in three more of the points-bearing races...

The winner of the Gold Trail Stakes-Gr.3 and second in the NZ 1000 Guineas-Gr.1 already this season, Best Seller (Wrote) will gallop between races 2 & 3 at Hastings today.

The Challenge filly resumes at Trentham next Saturday over 1200m and continues her Black Type chase in the Desert Gold Stakes-Gr.3, 28 January on the same course.

Elcheikhali looked like a filly going places with a soft win at Otaki today. She's a fabulous type, has a big pedigree (dam is a half-sister to Tavistock) and it's all in front of her.
I purchased her for David Monnery, Christian Cullen & Andy Rennie from non other that Henrietta Dowager Duchess of Bedford at the 2021 NZB Karaka Yearling Sale - price was $25,000.
