Genie in a Brass Bottle
Our non ferrous team were sorting mixed brass when this genie appeared -he's refusing to grant any wishes though, so we are not sure he's legit. Happy Friday from us anyway!

How to get rid of the (bus) body
We have sped this video up to double time, but in real time it took our operator just 3 minutes to remove the body of this bus from it's chassis (hence seperating the light steel from the heavy). And that's how we get rid of a body around here 😜

While we are on break, we thought you might enjoy this blooper from the team's drive to destroy things using their 'beyblade' -it had lots of promise, but unfortunately the end result of this attempt was a bit of a dud (they still had fun filming it though!). 😁

Winner Winner Chicken......on the BBQ
Congratulations to Warren who is the lucky winner of our Summer Sizzler promotion -simply because he brought his metals in to sell between the 1st and 17th of December! Not only did he earn some cash but he's also won himself a BBQ! What a great end to the year!

They are heavy and hazardous, and here's what they look like inside......this is the inner workings of a lead acid battery (from a car) minus the acid. We buy the batteries with the acid still in them, so you don't need to drain them before bringing them in for recycling (in fact please don't as the acid is nasty stuff!). ⚡
