Community Support Worker / Part-time, 10-15 hours per week
Do you have experience as a support worker/carer and are you good enough to be part of the Ali's CARE team?
We are looking for an experienced Support Worker / Carer to work specifically in Hanmer Springs, providing dedicated support to one client in their own home and community.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting people to live as independently as possible and who embraces the principles of equity in healthcare and exceptional care.
The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in caregiving, disability support, healthcare support, or a related field. You will need to be reliable, compassionate, professional, and committed to providing consistent, high-quality support to the client.
This position is specifically based in Hanmer Springs and is dedicated to supporting one client.

- Hourly rates from $26.16 to $28.25, based on your NZQF qualification and experience
Tasks will vary depending on the client's service plan and may include:
- Personal care tasks like showering, toileting, dressing and eating
- Household tasks like cleaning, cooking, shopping
- Supporting clients with mobility and transfers
- Companionship
- Maintaining accurate client records
- Monitoring wellbeing and reporting concerns
We will only be considering candidates who are NZ Citizens or NZ Residents for this role. We cannot support work visa applications.
What you must have to be considered for this role:
- Live locally in or around Hanmer Springs
- Available to start mid-September 26
- Minimum 2 years' experience in caregiving, disability support or healthcare support work
- Exceptional written and verbal communication (English)
- Full driver's licence with a reliable vehicle
- No criminal convictions and can pass a police check
- A reasonable level of fitness
- Able to pass a drug and alcohol test and be willing to adhere to on-going random drug and alcohol testing
- Honest, hardworking, and well presented
