"Dear friends, it's been a completely remarkable 3yr journey since I first opened the Lyttelton clinic. I've been on a mission to harness the healing power of medical cannabis for 7yrs, starting with my sister Alanas battle against cancer. My deep unwavering desire led me to deep dive into intensive research, recognized certifications and many roles as a public speaker and consultant to medical professionals of all divisions, particularly in using cannabinoids for cancer treatments.

I've dedicated myself to providing holistic treatments for various health issues that often go unaddressed by traditional pharmaceuticals. Over the years, I set the standard for what a medical cannabis clinic should be, a place where clients are heard and cared for.

I've faced a ton of challenges and blessings, from angry red head undercover reporters, to police investigators, to threats from the Ministry of Health for sharing published medical research papers, to contributing to the healing of cancers, arthritis and a bewildering array of chronic illnesses in humans and animals. My commitment remains unwavering. Unfortunately, due to the recent changes in the 'legal' industry, lack of public support and its its connected financial constraints, I've made the assertive decision to close the physical clinic. After the govt roll out of a pharmaceutical business model for the cannabis industry, the general public have turned to them, even though their products are inferior and up to 220% more expensive. Go figure, "f**k the small businesses and keep big pharma in full control aye, Yay!'

But here's the good news: I'm not going anywhere. I'm still here to serve the needs of new and existing clients, but jusr without a physical brick and mortar clinic. We'll continue our journey together as long as I'm needed here.

Though my next step after posting this is letting the landlords of my clinic know that ill be closing down overbthe next couple of weeks, I really want to express my gratitude to the thousands of people I've personally helped, and all who have been a part of this extremely unique experience. Let's continue to make a positive impact on health and wellness, now in new and exciting ways. Thank you for your support and trust. Your journey and mine are far from over. Biochar

Biochar is a material that bears significant physical characteristics and resemblance to charcoal.

Biochar can be obtained by burning organic materials like wood, leaves, or grasses without oxygen. Crop residue, solid waste, animal waste, and food waste can also be used to make biochar.

🌿 H**p is arguably the best material for making biochar. H**p Biochar is made from the stalks of the h**p plant.

Generally, the plant’s stalk is a waste material as the seeds, leaves, buds, and flowers are harvested for their therapeutic and industrial uses. The use of h**p stalk for biochar reduces waste from h**p farming, increasing the bottom line for farmers.

In addition, it absorbs more carbon than any other plant from the air into the soil, where it is useful. H**p stalks are organic materials subjected to a high temperature in the absence of oxygen to produce a black matter called h**p biochar.

I pressumed without much challenge that any positive changes to cannabis laws in NZ would be slow, and as a cannabinoid therapist I do wonder what all of it will mean for me and others like me in the future.

I created a cannabinoid clinic for people to come in and get personalized information on the medicinal use of cannabis for guided self therapy, and over the years it has developed itself a lot more deeper than just providing information and now with one other person who has learned the ropes for herself. Upon a client walking in, and after a couple of exchanges of intra-personal words and emotions, an inter-personal bond is formed, this is an artform of engagement that requires a very focused mindset and heartset. My cannabinoid clinic has become a space of self realized healing first and foremost. Although medical cannabis has absolutely remarkable efficacies through it's multiple interactions with the human system, it is really that special one on one engagement that we form together with each client, this connection is where the primary form of healing happens. It's just a little like the medical cannabis acts like a sort of lure that attracts people looking for help for an innumerable array of health issues, but begin their path to healing through communication, before the medicine binds to their receptors.
So not if but when these big business cannabis companies swarm and swamp NZ, then from deep experience I can further presume they still won't be pushing me out of this service. I have two things they cannot simply achieve or buy with big money... however it would be silly of me to let these things be known publicly and thereby forfeiting any leverage a small business operator has, but those who can read between the lines will know one of them just from this post. It's a good thing you know, when you plant and grow your own tree and climb to the top of it, rather than climbing someone else's ladder. Here's something I can let you know, we'll be expanding internally just to ensure our survival and longevity.

It’s legal. It costs multiples and multiples of the illegal stuff because Frankenstein laws and political rhetoric tried to wedge this little stigmatised w**d into pharmaceutical frameworks with a War On Drugs hangover, but these are seeds of change.

Grateful to talk to Skyman Industries today about how some of the small wins the Greens had in negotiating Medicinal Cannabis laws means we don’t have to pretend cannabis seeds don’t exist here (they can become declared and legal), but boy do we know there’s a long way to go in fixing these regs so this medicine is affordable and accessible to those who need it.
