Jazz Hands Management Ltd

Jazz Hands Management Ltd We can assist your company with auditing, programme and project management, engineering, corrective action investigations and process improvement.

Jazz Hands Management Ltd is owned and operated by Darryl and Rachael Page, which has been set up to offer the diverse skills we have built up over the last 20 years to clients on a contract basis.

“The origin of the name ‘Jazz Hands’ came from a running joke between Rachael and I in 2015. Each night around the dinner table, we would share tales from our days of full time employment. As time went

on, common themes and similarities to the stories began to arise, where one of us (I can’t remember which) noticed it was like a daily dance; a set sequence of moves interacting with colleagues and stakeholders. The other then noted ‘and all good dances finish with Jazz Hands!’. After much laughter, the concept of Jazz Hands was born….”

The wife/business partner - Rachael Page and I spent an informative evening at a Tech Comm NZ event featuring guest speaker Helen Maskery, Enterprise Change Manager at Synlait Milk Limited, on the subject of ‘Sticky Change’. i.e. making change stick

There were lots of practical real world examples of some great successes in project management and some not so great, and what do when you meet resistance.

Spent a great afternoon at Schneider Electric Christchurch looking at the fruits of Lean thinking and a well implemented continuous improvement mindset.

The highlight for me had to be the idea station terminal in the middle of the factory for production workers to register ideas for improvement. These ideas then fed into the company's KPI system for monitoring and followup.

It's always great to see a company that recognizes the valued contribution that those with hands-on experience of the product have to offer.

It's been an exciting 1st year here at Jazz Hands! Time to celebrate our first birthday with CAKE! We have completed some interesting work with great clients, made many new contacts and revived old networks along the way. Spending time with other "Lean" minded folk at the Christchurch Lean Network's events and hanging out with the business leaders of Canterbury at the Chamber of Commerce has been inspiring and refreshing.
We added PRINCE2 and MSP to the list of qualifications the team hold.
Our first AGM in March was a success - a fantastic day of strategy and planning in the beautiful surroundings of Hanmer Springs!
Have you seen the website recently? There have been some updates and additions worth checking out. http://www.jazzhands.co.nz
Not forgetting the new page, like if you like!
Happy Birthday to us, can't wait to see what the next year brings.

Following a devastating fire in their production facility in 2016, Salcom Technologies Ltd were forced to find new manufacturing premises which ended up having a smaller production area. Using the new constraints, Jazz Hands Management Ltd was brought in to produce optimized production layouts to provide increased factory throughput and promote production flow from the smaller facility.

Spent the morning at a business tax update seminar at Nexia New Zealand covering some new tax changes coming up. Exciting stuff for those of us who like deductions.
