The easiest and probably LEAST effective way to deliver training, is to DUMP all your fabulous knowledge CONTENT onto your learners... in the vague hope that they can absorb it all and figure out how to apply it.

When I say it like that, I'm sure you probably think "OF COURSE... That would be ludicrous!"

But it's amazing how this approach somehow still prevails across the internet and across business training offerings.

I love this quote, because it sums up something all Learning Experience Designers need to keep in mind when designing learning interventions. Creation beats Consumption. And here endeth today's inspirational lesson. Have a great day!!

❎ One of the biggest mistakes newly appointed leaders (& many seasoned leaders) make... is not listening to the people they're supporting and leading.
✅ Listen first, then speak.
✅ When you say you value feedback, demonstrate it by listening, acknowledging and responding

There’s a big down-side in throwing training at a non-training issue, so it’s worth investigating before investing.
