During May, our Sales and Marketing Manager, attended the Carbon & Energy Professionals (CEP) Conference in Auckland.

An insightful couple of days diving into the latest on energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonisation, with a great overview of the NZ energy landscape, market updates, and the path forward for electrification and emissions reduction across Aotearoa.

It’s great to see momentum building across our industry.

During May our Managing Director attended the Schneider Electric EcoXpert Innovation Days 2025.

It was an exciting week of collaboration and deep dives into the future of energy and automation, featuring hands-on workshops, keynote discussions, and innovation showcases focused on hashtag , hashtag , and hashtag .

Calling EDB’s 📢, does your business comply with the upcoming changes to the AUFLS Extended Reserves or Automatic Under Frequency Load Shedding?
From 30 June 2025, EDB's will need to provide extended reserves using AUFLS under the incoming compliance changes.

If not, Quasar has the application that can solve this problem – The Quasar Rapid Capture application for Extended Reserves.

By leveraging decades of experience in the supply market, Quasar has developed the Rapid Capture application that can monitor, capture, collate and report on under frequency events, which will enable its customers to comply with the incoming requirements.

The Quasar Rapid Capture application is designed to work with the market leading Schneider ION9000 series meters & PME application, meaning customers will have access to other valuable information at their fingertips including all aspects of Metering and Power Quality Data.

The Quasar Rapid Capture application is also able to provide a solution for Instantaneous Reserves (IR).

Earlier this month the Schneider Electric team visited the Christchurch Quasar office to present the 2023 Sustainability Impact Award, Partner Category.
This prestigious award is presented to an EcoXpert Partner who has demonstrated they’re focused on delivering efficient and sustainable solutions for its customers in line with Schneider Electrics approach towards sustainability.

The Schneider EcoXpert is a global programme and therefore a huge achievement for Quasar to receive this award for 2023. A big congratulations to everyone involved from Quasar NZ.
