And it’s the reason so many great and capable women roll up into a ball and hide, instead of marketing themselves or picking up the phone to gather clients or sales.

Write down 3️⃣ people you’ve helped and what changed for them.!Keep it by your laptop or phone for the next time that negative little voice starts up, and read it.!😇. Then just do it anyway!

💭You know when you have great ideas and would just love to start a small business, and sometimes it feels really exciting with endless possibilities, then other days you sit down to think it all through and end up going round in circles procrastinating over it all?! 🔄

☝️That’s exactly where one of my clients was when we started working together. She had ideas about becoming a life and wellbeing coach, but couldn’t quite pin down what it would actually look like.

😊 One of the things I most enjoy about our networking meetups is that every one of them gives each person a chance to share what they do and who they serve - and that means we get to meet women we would usually never come across. That in itself is one of the blessings of our great community!
Thanks to everyone's positivity the energy is always great and everyone leaves empowered and more focused!

😇Thanks this time to Cathie Connew (Health Coach) who I had noticed is very confident with Linkedin, so asked to share her experiences with us all in a talk, which was just fantastic! For most of us 'it can be a jungle out there' so to be given some personal insights and hearing how Cathie does it was brilliant. Lot's of interesting chat from the group after that session too!

This photo is from one of our networking meetups where twice a month (Lincoln or Wigram) it's held with a lovely mix of women. Some are running a business from home, some are in busy corporate jobs, and some are new to the area and keen to meet people. We talk about what's working, what's not, and who might be able to help. People leave with new ideas, a few new friends, and usually a bit more get-up-and-go than they arrived with.🚀

This network meetup is different from most in that firstly it's FREE to come along and everyone's welcome. We chat about potentially life changing angles on anything from mindset to strategy on how to find clients, to selling, handling stress, to advice and support on anything!

🙂 It can be a challenge for a business to gain traction in the first few months to a year, so we rely on enthusiasm and a few 'wins' to keep us encouraged.

BUT — a question I often hear in that first year is ☝️

Is this normal?

And yes — you are not the only one up late at night thinking you're the only one whose inbox isn't lighting up or whose phone isn't ringing! 😔

I work with women who build fabulous businesses but can find it really hard to grow, and they start thinking they're doing something wrong — that the quiet, and how hard it is to get clients, must be down to them. Nearly every one of them ends up doubting themselves, or the business, or the product. 🙃

BUT — it's not that. Most of the time it just means not enough people know they're there yet, and they're just a little too shy to make those needed changes and be bold enough to 'show up' out there.

Not showing up enough for people to remember us, or clearly enough to attract the 'right' client for our service or product, is a big reason getting clients feels so elusive.

We just need to do a few little things more consistently, so people get to know us well enough, and trust us enough to pay us and let us help them through what we do.

Again — a few small changes and things start to happen. 💛
