The Profile Group team recently attended the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand CAANZ Canterbury Conference 2026, joining over 200 professionals for a day focused on “Navigating Tomorrow: Adaptability in Action.”

With conversations reaching across leadership, strategy, economic outlooks and resilience, the day reinforced just how important it is to stay adaptable in a changing environment.

Just before the lunch break, Louis Bentley shared a personal experience that has shaped his appreciation for strong professional institutions and why Profile Group operates the way it does.

Meet the team! This week - Andrew Copeland 🙌🏻

Andrew is the Founder of Profile Group and has over 20 years’ recruitment experience across the UK and New Zealand, focused on the Accountancy & Finance sectors. He continues to serve as a Director of Profile Group.

Outside of work, Andrew has three children who keep him busy and is a lifelong Manchester United fan (this however, is not a reason to judge him...).

Meet the team! This week - Simon Lawrence

Simon began his career in technology retail in the UK during both the home PC and smartphone booms. After 15 years across two successful multi-national business, including taking a high street mobile retail store to top 10 in the UK, he found a home in accountancy and finance recruitment in 2016. After 6 years working in the UK, he took the opportunity to make a move 12 time zones across the world and started his New Zealand journey in Dunedin.

Joining Profile Group in December 2025, Simon brought his near decade of finance knowledge, his relentless drive and mildly outré music tastes to the existing team of high performing experts. Across his recruiting career he had both led teams and had great leaders, and he brings both of those passions with him as well.

Simon's other roles include father of five, gym enthusiast and amateur strongman, and avoider of injuries (unsuccessfully).
