I also have four kids to teenagers and twins that are 5 and cats every one is loving the bees at our house the only thing we have made a change with is that when you go outside you need something on your feet. Our cat keeps drinking the bees water and she hides behind the hive to catch birds so there really is no problem with kids or pets with having bees at your house
