Most owners approach hiring the wrong way. 😬

When you treat it as a selection process, you start looking for all the reasons you should hire someone.

That’s when confirmation bias kicks in. You build a case for the candidate, then focus on the evidence that supports it while overlooking the red flags.

Instead, treat hiring as a process of deselection.

Stack up the reasons you shouldn’t hire them. Test the gaps, challenge your assumptions and actively look for reasons they might not fit.

If they survive that scrutiny, you can be far more confident they’ll move your business forward.

Because a bad hire doesn’t just slow your momentum.

It can send your business backwards.
