Our big new project started this week at Mt Beautiful Vineyard in Cheviot. In a few months' time, this whole area will be covered in vines, as an extension to the current vineyard. In the meantime, the boys are having fun laying all the infrastructure for the irrigation.

Holiday over and back into work this week. Wet weather means the pressure is off irrigating at the moment, but it will dry up again so be prepared! Happy New Year everyone.

Hughes Irrigation was proud to sponsor the Junior Basketball Team from St Bede's College. They came 3rd in the recent South Island Junior Secondary Schools' Basketball Tournament in Dunedin. Not only did we sponsor them but we provided the two coaches Tom and Caleb! Both old boys of the College and still giving back a huge amount of their time to promote basketball in the school.

Working on a new vineyard.

The boys spent the day digging a trench, then filling it in. They love playing with the big boys' toys!

They also managed to avoid the rain we got in the city so a good day all around.
