Even the best employers can get caught out by tricky HR and legal pitfalls. Are you making any of these common mistakes? 👇

⚠️ No Signed Employment Agreement – Every employee must have a signed contract before they start. No exceptions!

⚠️ Unfair Dismissals – Even if you have a good reason, if you don’t follow the right process, you’re at risk of a personal grievance.

⚠️ 90-Day Trial or Probation Slip-Ups – If it’s not in writing before they start, it’s not valid.

⚠️ Getting Leave Payments Wrong – Holiday pay, sick leave & public holiday entitlements aren’t one-size-fits-all. Mistakes = $$ owed!

⚠️ Skipping Consultation – Restructuring? Changing roles or hours? You must consult first – or risk legal trouble.

⚠️ Performance Management – No documentation? No improvement plan? That’s a recipe for a legal headache.
