Some really good news!

After more than 100 years away, the South Island tīeke (saddleback) is singing once again in mainland Otago! 🌿
Thanks to years of predator control, habitat restoration, and the dedication of conservation teams, this taonga species is finally back where it belongs. Every release like this is a win for biodiversity and a reminder of the impact communities can have when they protect and restore the places we love. 🐦💚
