To Our Valued Followers and Friends,

We regret to inform you that we have made the decision to remove the #5 recycling bins from the New World Dunedin store.

While we truly appreciate the efforts of our most dedicated recyclers who used the service responsibly, unfortunately, we experienced ongoing issues with the general public using the bins for non-recyclable rubbish. This has made it time-consuming, challenging, and at times even unsafe for us to sort through and retrieve the plastic.

Now that the city councils are accepting plastics 1, 2, and 5, we recommend you take advantage of the household recycling bins provided by the council.

For those who still wish to recycle their clean #5 plastics, Packit Packaging continues to accept them at 518 Kaikorai Valley Road, Dunedin.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of recycling initiatives in our community.
