These sheep are bred by putting very thick, meaty 1/2 Texel x 1/2 Romney ewes back to a top performance Romney ram. They are ideal for farmers who want to put a bit of Texel through their flocks without moving too far from a base breed, or those who have used a 1/2 Texel ram, kept the replacements, and want and want to stabilize their flock at 1/4 Texel.

K. x Romney rams in our Autumn Ram & 2th Sale. Online bidding open NOW at https://www.meadowslea.co.nz/2025-autumn-ram-sale
On-farm and online Helmsman auction 1pm this Friday 14th March.
These are bred by taking our stud Romney ewes and crossing K. Maternal (Kelso) rams over them, incorporating Texel for carcass, some Finn for fertility, and East Fresian for ewe milking ability.
