We’ll be at the market this Saturday, with Nicola bringing along some of our freshly bottled olive oil! 🌿

The olives are grown here on the property, with around 300 trees amongst our organic vineyards at Manutuke and in the Ormond Valley. They’re all hand-picked to make this lovely local extra virgin, cold-pressed olive oil.

W**E & ART COMPETITION

Looking for a creative project this winter? Here’s your chance to have your artwork featured on our next Artist Series Méthode Traditionnelle Blanc de Noir Pinot Rosé! This w**e is very limited with only 600 bottles been released, with the w**e been bottle aged on yeast lees for 4 years prior to disgorging.

We’re inviting artists of all ages to submit an original artwork in any form — painting, sculpture, photography, digital art, or anything else you can create. The only rule? Your artwork needs to capture the spirit of Gisborne and its environment.

How it works:
Send us a photo of your artwork.
We’ll shortlist 3 finalists.
The public will vote for the winner on our page.
The winning artwork will feature on our w**e label.
$300 Wrights Gift Voucher for the winner.
Plus recognition across our marketing channels.
Entries close 31 August 2026.
Wrights have first right to purchase the artwork.

Massive achievement...
✨Our Wrights Reserve Chardonnay 2024 has been named Champion Chardonnay at the Organic W**e Awards 2026.✨

It’s taken us 10 years to crack this award, so it’s a really special moment. Over that time we’ve worked hard on our Wrights Chardonnays, refining and learning with each vintage. Our Chardonnays have regularly received gold medals and this recognition means a lot — not only for Wrights, but for the Gisborne w**e region as a whole. As the Chardonnay Capital of New Zealand, it’s great to see Gisborne holding that title once again.

Barrel aged in new French oak for 15 months, this Chardonnay is full-bodied and concentrated, showing mango, baked fig, brioche and toasty oak characters, with depth, texture, balance and a long elegant finish. All certified organic.

If you’d like to try the Champion Chardonnay, come see us this Saturday at the Gisborne Farmers Market — we’ll be pouring and sharing it with anyone who’d like a taste. Bottles are also on special this week!
