Congratulations to all involved in the design & build of the new Rototuna Library, what a great addition to the area Hamilton City Council!

The Wyreframe team scanned this building twice during the construction stages in order to capture & model all fixtures and fittings.. A comprehensive 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗜𝗠 for the team at Livingstone Building NZ.

Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library, the flagship building in Rototuna Village, officially opened today (Friday 21 July), with a blessing from Ngaati Wairere and Te Haa o te Whenua o Kirikiriroa.

Whilst some of us are taking a little while to get back into the swing of work again, this is Gearld in his happy place. Scanning a quiet factory on a Sunday is a break away from the school holiday noise at home!

Neurodiverse brains possess the most incredible skillsets but companies as a whole, lack the understanding & support required for these individuals to reach their potential in the workforce. At Wyreframe, we're on a mission to change that.

As part of this support, we've jumped on board with and their launch of NZ's first Neurodiversity Center! A very dedicated & determined group who are providing support & education for neurodiverse youth & adults. Congratulations on your preview launch Xabilities!

Our man Tiaan, famous in Thames and looking as subtle as ever 👍⚠️🦺

Been wondering what this contraption staffed by people in orange is doing in Thames town centre? Meet Tiaan, one of the workers surveying the underground services in Pollen Street and connecting side streets using ground-penetrating radar.

Once we have an accurate picture of what’s beneath our streets, we can make plans for the upgrade of underground services which is likely to start some time after June 2023. We’ll be doing the work on a staged basis, and there’ll be meetings with businesses and the community well ahead of the construction so we can talk through the proposed work programme and get feedback.

This team are 'head-down, bum-up' on our biggest as-built project to date... but there's something else in this picture that's worth looking twice at.

𝗔 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 (𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗹𝘆) 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝘀𝗲𝗹𝘃𝗲𝘀!

Ever tried opening a rusted manhole lid that hasn't been accessed for over 20 years? It's nigh-on impossible!

Until...

Take 1x steel tripod (designed to lift people in & out of confined spaces), attach a chain-block hoist, then attach it to a manhole lifter. Jam the manhole lifter in place, and gently wind the chain.

Side note: It works so well that it has been known to pull the surrounding asphalt up with it

The office screen today, showing this month's digital twin sites.. Friday's addition was scanned in SYDNEY!

A quick trip across the pacific with our mobile laser scanning gear, the .
The site was scanned in less than an hour and the digital twin live online by Saturday.

Great crew to work with over there, looking forward to heading back again soon!

A total above ground & below ground scan project (for seismic design), delivered as a 3D BIM model and digital twin.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗱? Took the entire seismic design team for a virtual walk through of both the digital twin & BIM facility. They tell us this is the ultimate way to make sure everyone gets started on the same page 👍
