This year, the Avis Magic underwent a full dress refresh – creating the perfect opportunity to evolve the brand identity alongside it. The 2026 visual identity was directly inspired by the foundations of the 2026 Magic Dress, Kākahu Ahi (Cloak of Fire).
Elements from the kākahu-inspired dress design –including triangular forms, tukutuku patterns, tāniko borders, and poutama motifs – became defining features of the 2026 design system.
Clean, bold typography was paired with high-contrast layouts, with black and grey-white tones leading the visual palette.
We also explored brand strategy, defining how the Magic voice would show up online through three key pillars:
HEART — Warm, connected, grounded
POWER — Bold, confident, high-energy
MAGIC — Distinct, creative, full of personality
Together, these pillars shape a voice that feels authentic, confident, memorable, and unmistakably Magic.
