"I started calling that girl back. The girl who loved living, the girl who danced instead of walking.
The girl who had sunflowers for eyes and fireworks in her soul.
I started playing music again, hoping she would come out.
I started looking for beautiful moments to experience, so she would feel safe enough to show herself, because I knew she was in there.
And she needed my kindness and my effort to come to the surface again."

Medusa, once a woman of ethereal beauty, was violated in her sacred space by the god Poseidon. This act of desecration, a brutal assault on her body and soul, ignited a transformation within her. Her once-luminous hair, a symbol of her femininity, morphed into a writhing mass of venomous snakes, a chilling testament to the power unleashed within her.

Her gaze, once gentle and inviting, became a weapon of immense power. A single glance, a flicker of her eyes, could turn any living being into stone. This transformation, often seen as a curse, was in fact a reclamation of power. Medusa, broken and violated, emerged as a force to be reckoned with.

Her beauty, though now terrifying, was a stark reflection of the violence inflicted upon her. The grotesque transformation was a manifestation of her rage, a visual representation of the power that arises from trauma. The petrifying gaze, a symbol of her newfound control, was a tool of both defense and retribution.

Medusa's story is not a tale of victimhood but a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. It is a narrative that challenges societal norms, questioning the objectification of women and the consequences of male entitlement. By embracing her monstrous form, Medusa defied the expectations imposed upon her, becoming a symbol of female power and the terrifying potential of the violated.
