Watching good people win never gets old.

A while back, this young fella reached out looking for an opportunity.

No big pitch.

Just hungry for a chance.

We got the team at to make the connection.

18 months later, he's absolutely flying.

The career is tracking with one Aotearoa's biggest companies. The confidence is growing. And he's on this health journey, and somehow managed to lose enough weight to make me question my life choices..

What makes me proud isn't the result. It's what got him there. Consistency. Humility. A willingness to say yes, and have a crack.

Every now and then, I give him a random call to check in. The funny thing is, I usually hang up more inspired than when I called.

Proud of you, Jake. Keep stacking!!

Turns out betting on yourself is still one of the best investments you can make.

A few weeks ago, our CEO was asked to speak with the leaders at Port of Auckland about leadership and his journey in business.

His only condition? No filters.... and they agreed.

Three things stood out:
1️⃣. Connect people to the mission. People don’t just want work. They want meaning.

2️⃣. Candor kills noise. The conversations avoided today become the problems felt tomorrow.

3️⃣. Belief. Behave. Become. He spoke about hearing Laurent Sylvestre speak about it last year, and how it’s stayed with him ever since.

Believe in the mission first. Walk it daily through your actions. And eventually… you become it.

That part hit differently.

At LM4, perfection has never been the goal.

Progress is.
So we keep moving.
Keep learning.

Keep taking the hits and the lessons that come with building something meaningful.

Because standing still has never changed anyone’s life.
