A huge thank you to the team at Maia Dreams for opening their doors to support Nevaeh through a Te Ara Hōkai work experience placement.
Over the next 8 weeks, Nevaeh will be building skills, gaining hands-on experience, and being part of a pretty awesome kaupapa!
This is a real full-circle moment for her, and we love to see it!

A past student of Inspire In Education alongside Conrad Waitoa and ConfidentMe with our GM Kristyl Neho, Nevaeh is now joining us as a trainee facilitator, completing her Rangatahi work experience placement - Te Ara Hōkai - with JMP Consulting.

We’re thrilled to have Nevaeh’s performing arts experience to round out our roopu. Over the coming weeks, Nevaeh will support our Heretaunga Intermediate students with their preparations in 2 upcoming performance pieces - being a part of shared waiata at the Compassionate Communities hui in June and our end of year production, Whakapono.

Providing rangatahi with opportunities to step into real workplaces, ask questions, learn, and build confidence makes a huge difference.

A big week for Te Ara Hōkai👏

Our first work experience placements have officially kicked off this week, and we couldn’t be more excited.

A special shoutout to Ka Pai Cuppa Waka our very first host organisation to come on board, so it feels pretty fitting they’re also our first placement to go live.

Pictured here is the amazing Lisa, alongside Amie who was all smiles and ready for day one. A huge thanks to Lisa and the crew for backing our kaupapa and creating this opportunity for our rangatahi to step into real work experiences. That’s what community backing community looks like.
