Like a number of the families we act for, we’ve been around for a long time, our feet are well and truly cemented in the heart of this fantastic region, and we plan to be around supporting business in the Bay for a long time to come. Although the firm has evolved over the years and personnel have come and gone, the underlying values of respect, trust, and a total commitment to service and support have never changed. This commitment to helping our clients build a better life, and our desire to walk alongside our clients as they take their unique journey is why we have clients that stay with us generation after generation. Brown Webb Richardson Ltd was formed in 2002 by the merger of two remarkably longstanding Hawke's Bay Chartered Accountancy firms. This combined the two very like cultures of Richardson Epplett and Partners (originally formed as McCulloch Butler and Spence in 1907) and Brown Webb Limited (originally formed as R D Brown and Co in 1921).

Because curiosity is where it starts.

Ever caught yourself wondering "what if?" Maybe it's a change you've been mulling over, or maybe you just love hearing how other people found their way. Wonder is a lunch for any woman with a curious mind.

On Thursday 22 October, four Hawke's Bay women are sharing the real story behind what they've built. Luci Firth took over Adashiko in 2013 and has grown it into a respected local collagen business. Mickey Trotter turned the family land into the agritourism destination Blackburn Ridge. Jen Mackie and Kate de Lautour created The Muster together, bringing people back around the table.

They'll talk honestly about the early days and the hard calls, and how they've juggled it all alongside family and everything else life throws at them. These are stories about backing yourself and working through the tough bits, and there's something in them for all of us, wherever you're at.

Daffodil Day meets BWR Battle! 🎨

We recently got the team together for a Daffodil Day morning tea, with our staff generously donating to support the Cancer Society. Together, we raised $840.00 – a fantastic effort from the team!

We also took the opportunity to squeeze in Round 4 of the BWR Battle, and this time things got creative.

Working in our teams, we had just 30 minutes to complete a daffodil paint-by-numbers masterpiece before handing them over to our guest judge, Clayton Gibson, art teacher at Taikura Rudolf Steiner School, to decide the winner!

A great morning of friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and most importantly, supporting a very worthy cause.💛
