Still 100% us. 🎉

Today marks 26 years of Image Boats.

For us, longevity isn’t just about the number of years. It’s about what those years represent:

Consistency. Reliability. Commitment. Experience.

Image Boats is still 100% owned and operated by Dean & Stacey, with Kerry & Barbs looking after our North Island customers.

A lot has changed since those early days — the boats have evolved, the business has grown, and we’ve clocked up a lot of kilometres towing boats to shows and events all over the country!

But the foundations remain the same.

26 years of experience means knowing that reputation isn’t built overnight — it’s built boat by boat, customer by customer, year after year.

We’re pretty proud of that. ❤️

And because no two Image Boats are quite the same, we couldn’t possibly choose just one to celebrate with! 😂

So here’s a little collection of some of the boats that have been part of the journey.

And there’s one other reason today is a little extra special — it’s Dean’s birthday too! 🎂

26 years of owning and operating his own business, and he still gets excited about building boats.

I think he should feel pretty proud of that. ❤️

Want to know what an Image looks like after three years of being properly used?

We’re not hiding the fact that “Gratitude” is three years old.

Quite the opposite.

We want you to see her.

Because when we talk about the quality of Image Boats' construction, craftsmanship and materials, we don’t just want to show you a brand-new boat looking immaculate on a showroom floor.

We want to show you what happens after three years of actually using one.
“Gratitude” is a custom-built Image 8.5m Fishmaster with a 2.8m beam, powered by a 350hp Suzuki outboard.

And she’s been used.

From Bluff in the Deep South to Milford Sound, the Bay of Islands and Mangonui in Northland. Fishing. Diving. Camping. Cruising. Exploring.

Over Christmas, Kerry & Barb spent 54 days straight cruising the Bay of Islands, covering 729 nautical miles and waking each morning to a new horizon.

This boat hasn’t been wrapped up and kept pristine.

She’s been properly lived in.

And that’s exactly why we want you to look closely tomorrow.

Look at the finish.
Look at the construction.
Look at the way the boat has stood up to three years of real-world adventures.

Because quality isn’t proven on Day One.

It’s proven years later, after the miles, the use, the weather, the fishing, the diving, the camping and everything else you’ve thrown at it.

And perhaps the best part?

The adventures are now being shared with another generation. ❤️

Kerry & Barb’s first little grandchild is already joining them out on the water — because a boat built for adventure becomes something much more than a boat.

It becomes part of the family story.

Meet "Gratitude" — a beautifully crafted, custom-built Image 8.5m Fishmaster with a 2.8m beam, powered by a 350hp Suzuki Marine NZ outboard.

She’s toured from Bluff in the Deep South, to Milford Sound, to the Bay of Islands, and to Mangonui in Northland, proving herself as the perfect trailer boat for camping, diving, fishing and exploring.

Proud to see the Fiordland Outdoors Co. water taxi we designed and built helping people get out and explore Fiordland this Great Walk season.

Built specifically for the remote and demanding conditions of Fiordland, it’s great to see the boat out there doing exactly what it was designed to do — safely and reliably getting people onto the tracks and into the heart of this incredible part of the country.

The Into Nature Season Pass is a great way to make the most of the season, with unlimited access to scheduled water taxi departures for Milford Track and Kepler Track day walks, subject to availability and pre-booking.

Great boat, great purpose, and an amazing place to put it to work. 🌿

There’s a new boss in town. 🖤

After months of custom design, craftsmanship and attention to detail, “Omertà” has officially changed hands.

This imposing 8.5m Image Fishmaster, powered by twin 300hp Suzuki Marine NZ outboards, is ready to make her presence felt wherever she goes.

A huge congratulations to her new owners — welcome to the Image family! We hope “Omertà” brings you countless adventures, epic days on the water, big fish, great memories and perhaps just a little trouble along the way. 😉

She certainly knows how to make an entrance. Now it’s time to make some stories.

“OMERTÀ ” — the code of silence.

Our latest Image 8.5m Fishmaster has officially broken the silence… and what a way to do it.

Powered by twin 300hp Suzuki Marine NZ outboards, “Omertà” has just completed her first sea trial, and she certainly made an impression.

But there was another surprise on the day…

We’ve discovered that our young apprentice Lucas has a hidden talent — and judging by this video, he might have a future behind the camera as well as in the workshop!

A striking boat, a serious setup, and a first sea trial to remember.

“Omertà”. The name says it all. The boat speaks for itself.
