🚨 📣 We are pleased to be able to offer a new service to our clients. 📣🚨

We now have a digger mounted stump grinder. Yes you can dig out stumps and bury them…..are you meant to probably not??

This is a great alternative to digging them out and burying them. No holes to dig and no mountain of spoil left once the hole is dug and filled back in. Just a pile of fine wood chip that can be worked back into the soil.

Keep an eye out for these ass holes, two of our neighbours at our Waimatua depot have had a couple of people prowling around at 7am this morning, running off when confronted. Too much of this stuff going on at the moment. Will post another
video in the comments of the other property they were snooping around 🤬

Bit slack with the updates lately but been a busy winter so far, plenty to keep the boys busy. Workshop crew working through winter maintenance making sure our gear is ready for the coming spring/summer. Here a few snaps of what we have been up to.

Massive congratulations to Cabbage on his 300th game. This guy has a huge ticker and is still playing exceptional rugby. An unreal achievement. Get down to Rugby Park this Saturday at 3pm and show him some love.

A pretty special milestone will be celebrated this Saturday.

Jason Rutledge will run out for his 300th senior game for Woodlands Rugby Club — an incredible achievement and a testament to his dedication, commitment, and passion for the club.

Jason is the highest capped player in Woodlands history, a remarkable milestone that reflects years of hard work, loyalty, and service to the blue and red.

His achievements extend well beyond Woodlands, having also represented the Highlanders in 59 matches and Southland in 143 matches, building an outstanding rugby career at every level of the game

Congratulations, Cab, on 300 senior games. An outstanding achievement and one the entire Woodlands community is proud to celebrate. 🔴 🔵

With the last silage job of 2026 done over the weekend its time to start recruiting for operators to fill our team for the coming season 2026-27.

First timers are able to apply for Working Holiday Visas through Immigration NZ.

If you have been to NZ before you will be required to go through a different process that involves a bit more paperwork however the first part is applying for positions.

We have a Licensed Immigration advisor in our team that can help with these.

We will take preference to experienced operators (2 years minimum) for the following machinery but not limited to.

Claas Triple mowers
Claas 4 Rotor Rakes
Claas 950/960 Harvesters
JCB 435 Loaders with Pit/Stack experience
McHale Fusion 3&4 Balers
Reversible Ploughs
Power Harrows
Planters/Drills.
Silage Truck and Trailer Operators
Umbilical and Slurry Tanker Operators

We are located 10 minutes from the Centre of Invercargill at our Waimatua depot and 10 minutes from Winton at our Browns depot.
Invercargill is the gateway to the South of the South Island. Easy access to all tourist destinations e.g. Queenstown. Fiordland and the Catlins.

Sad news with the passing of Brian Small or better known as Smally.

Smally had been part of our business since the early 2000s and a subcontractor and then as an employee once he sold his truck to retire.

Smally passed away last Thursday after a battle with illness. He was one of life’s good buggers and once you got to know him he would do anything to help you or point you in the right direction. A bit rough a round the edges and a hell of a vocabulary of swear words no matter where he was but all in all a hell of a decent bloke with a heart of gold.

Rest easy Smally, finally at peace.
