We’ve been getting a lot of questions about whether the fallen trees will be able to be used as firewood.

The answer is yes but not yet!

Smaller branches will be mulched, as there’s simply too much material to turn it all into firewood. However, the larger logs and trunks will be processed and made available to the community as firewood.

We’ll share details about when this will be available and how it will be distributed once plans are finalised. In the meantime, please do not go and cut or collect wood yourself. The parks remain closed!

Our teams are still assessing the parks, and they remain very dangerous. More trees and branches have come down over the weekend, and we’re still expecting some rain and wind this week. The ground is very wet and muddy, making trees unstable, and fallen trees can weaken the roots of those nearby.

We are working as hard and as fast as we can to reopen these areas. Please be patient and don’t put yourself at risk.

I have an opportunity for up to 3 people for a manufacturing role. There are full-time opportunities for the right people. IMMEDIATE START. Solid hours!

- Must have a restricted license minimum and reliable vehicle
- Must be an all round good bu**er!
- A solid work ethic (proven)
- Solid reliability (proven)
- Full-time hours 6am - around 4.30/5pm or later depending on the process.
- Possible shift work (rostered)
- decent break over Xmas and the New Year period
- $28.50 per hr (Time .5 after 8hrs)

- Must have a reasonable level of reading, writing and math. (not looking for a scholar here but need to be able to understand the basics)

Short-Term Role – Starts Monday 21/07/25

Looking for someone keen to jump into a 4-week physical role (possibly longer), assisting with bobby calves, loading and unloading trucks.

$30/hr

5–6 days per week

Around 6 hours per day

Early morning starts

Ideal for someone with animal handling experience or not afraid of a bit of hard, honest graft and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.

Must have:
• A solid attitude
• Minimum restricted licence
• Ability to pass a drug test
* Solid level of fitness
