I am shamelessly passionate about Kaiapoi, We moved here some years ago and fell in love with the place and in the main it was because of the friendly people, it am reminded of the tv program title song “Cheers, where you go to the bar and everyone knows your name”… I believe Kaiapoi has that type of feel to it, people are friendly and welcoming and there are lots of things happening for you to get involved in. I hope the website, when someone searches for Kaiapoi, especially someone looking for a service or a business type and what is happening in Kaiapoi, they will find everything here. NZ Gifts of Love and Strength Opening - met up with Suzie, Irene and Sue from The Sterling, Kaiapoi
Did you know that NZ has the highest rate in the developed world for Family and Sexual Violence with our police receiving a one call every 4 minutes?

This is why our work is so important, and you can help us spread awareness of where youth (13 to 17 years) can access free, confidential help at The Cambridge Clinic from the Canterbury/West Coast regions. Phone 03-3660 067. It is not a requirement for them to engage the police, it’s their decision.
atNZ Gifts of Love and Strength
Our gorgeous care packages are being distributed via the Cambridge Clinic. This is where they can have a full wellness check in, discuss possible supports and have a medical examination/tests if they choose. This can either be historically or acutely - acute appointments are sometimes referred to as a 'forensic'. We are the first and only organisation providing these care packages for youth in the Canterbury/West Coast region. The staff at the Cambridge Clinic have collaborated with us and tried to carefully select items that will help aid the youth in their healing journey.

We had a busy day yesterday with more care packages being made and being collected to go to The Cambridge Clinic. It's great to see the items being donated going out so quickly into packages.

We try to colour match every handmade product as much as possible. We think the tote bags, lap blankets, lavender hearts, pencil cases, heat bags all look gorgeous. We really are so fortunate to have some lovely talented craftspeople helping.

What items can you donate:

*Journals/ Notebooks
* Nice writing pens
* Single Pack Tissues
* Boxes of single serve hot chocolate
* Acrylic yarn 8ply, 10 ply for lap blankets
* Knitted / Crochet lap blankets 36 x 36 inches
