OBrien Design Consulting Ltd provides architectural design services, preparing plans for new houses, renovations, extensions, and additions. We offer expertise in the design of onsite

wastewater (TP58) for new builds and failed system replacement along with the preparation of Onsite Wastewater Site Suitability Reports for subdivisions. Stormwater design services (TP10) and assistance with obtaining resource consent are also available. OBrien Design Consulting are not your usual architectural design firm that drafts plans only. We incorporate site planning including onsite wastewater and stormwater design, working alongside Far North District Council requirements to achieve building consent. Martin OBrien has over 20 years’ experience in Architectural Design, both in the UK and New Zealand. Martin has lived in Kerikeri with his family for 17 years. Before establishing OBrien Design Consulting in 2012 Martin managed the architectural department in Duffill Watts Consulting Engineers. During his time in the engineers practice Martin became a licenced building practitioner and Onsite Wastewater and Stormwater Designer (TP58 Writer). Due to Martin’s broad experience and time in the industry he has developed extensive knowledge of architecture, engineering and consenting requirements for small projects through to large scale architecturally designed houses with numerous site constraints (for example flooding, steep slopes and District Plan requirements).
