We produce small batches of distinctive wines in the Waitaki Valley, New Zealand. In 2002 we discovered a Burgundy-like limestone-rich slope in the Waitaki Valley and knew we were on to a good thing.

We are equally a proud of our 2024 Chardonnay, which Cameron Douglas has appointed 94 points in his most recent review. A true testament to the strength of Chardonnay from the Waitaki Valley.

"On the palate a full-bodied dry wine with a core of green melon and stone fruit flavours, vanilla and baked nut complexities. Medium+ acid line, a silky-cream texture and fine tannins from oak and fruit leading to a lengthy finish."

Following his recent visit to New Zealand, James Suckling has released his latest tasting report, highlighting a standout lineup of precise, cool-climate Pinot Noirs.

Clos Ostler Pinot Noirs stood out consistently across the report, each awarded 94 points and reflecting the distinct character of the Waitaki Valley.

As the season moves into harvest, the Waitaki Valley has been fortunate to have a warm and consistent growing season. These conditions have allowed the fruit to develop gradually while maintaining the natural balance and acidity that define our site. In the vineyard, we’ve been trialling softer, biological approaches to vine health and disease management, in an effort to move towards more regenerative farming practices that support the long-term health of the vineyard.
