I've had quite a few new followers lately, so thought I should probably introduce myself!

Hey 👋🏼 I'm Bex
I started my hairdressing journey back in 2012 on a work experience placement, I then enrolled at the Hairdressing College, sat my qualifications and haven't stopped doing hair since!
I had my own salon in Pahiatua for 6 years (where I grew up) before moving to Marton. I don't have a salon here, but offer mobile hair services around Manawatu - I come to you! And I'm now travelling back to Pahiatua 2 days a week, renting a chair from my longtime friend Jen at Scarlett Rose Hairdressing 🥰
I enjoy all kinds of colouring and I can almost guarantee my own hair will be a different colour each time you see me 😂 I'm pretty bad at taking before & after pics, but I'm even worse at remembering to post them!

Hairdressing aside - I'm also admin at a preschool here in Marton.
But my favourite role is being a mum! Many of you have been here from the start and will remember my two little ones as babies, visiting the salon. I gained a step daughter when my partner Ash came into my life 🥰
We also have 3 dogs and 4 cats, life is pretty chaotic but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Whether you have been in my chair for years or have just found my page, I'm so glad you're here! Thanks for supporting my passion 💜

PAHIATUA CLIENTS:
I will also be increasing my prices to reflect Jen's pricing. I believe in keeping our prices the same, as many of you switch between Jen and I depending on who is available when it suits you. I also have to cover my travel costs! 💜💜

A little salon update 💕

After three years of keeping my prices the same, I’ll be making a small adjustment to my service prices from August 2026.

When I first opened the salon, I made a commitment to keep my pricing as affordable as possible. However, like many small businesses, I’ve experienced significant increases in the cost of products, supplies, and general business expenses over the past few years. To continue providing the high-quality service and products you know and love, a small price adjustment is now necessary.

This wasn’t a decision I made lightly, and I truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. Every appointment you book supports my small business, which supports my family, and I’m so grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me over the years.

If you have any questions about the price update, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for supporting local and allowing me to do what I love every day ❤️

Lil update - Millie's surgery is booked for early June, so I'm having some forced time off! Plus school holidays is beginning of July. So make sure you book in quickly. Also, I'm now doing some Fridays in Pahiatua too!

Just a wee update for the month ahead!
✨ My Miss Millie has been on the wait-list to have her tonsils out and they've now let me know her turn is coming up, so just waiting on a date. Apologies in advance if I need to reschedule your appointment at short notice.
✨ Pahiatua - I only have 1 colour spot and a handful of haircut appointments left for May. I am looking at potentially opening up an extra day towards the end of the month, depending on Millies appointment.
